Do I need to keep my computer on?

No. Once your videos are uploaded and your stream is running, Beamd streams from the cloud. You can close your browser and turn off your computer.

Do I need OBS or a live camera?

No. Beamd is built for pre-recorded videos. Upload your files, add your destination and start streaming.

What’s the difference between a playlist and Programming?

A playlist groups videos into an ordered sequence. Programming chooses which playlist or video runs at different times in a repeating weekly schedule, with filler for the gaps. Programming is included on Pro and Business, and in the free trial.

Can I change my schedule while I’m live?

Yes, you can edit a Programming schedule while it is broadcasting. Content switches depend on video boundaries and preparation; filler helps shows start on time. Editing an ordinary looping playlist is a different workflow and does not provide the same live scheduling behaviour.

What’s included in the free trial?

You get 72 hours to try Beamd, including Programming, with one stream, one destination, 20 GB of storage and up to 15 files. Trial streams carry a watermark. No credit card is required.

Can I stream landscape and vertical together?

Yes, with suitable YouTube destinations and enough available destination slots. Each feed counts as a destination. You can choose a crop or keep the full picture within the vertical frame.
