Vaulted Media Group LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Beamd ("we", "us", or "our"), operates beamd.live. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep it plain, with no legal fog.
Account data: When you sign up we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or bank details. Those go directly to Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Content you upload: Videos and files you upload are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage. They are used solely to run your streams and are not accessed by us except for technical support purposes.
Usage data: We log stream activity (start/stop times, duration, quality settings) to calculate billing, display your history, and detect abuse. We do not sell this data.
Setup diagnostics: We use account setup state and record YouTube connection attempts and their outcomes to identify setup problems and improve support. Connection events older than 90 days are removed by daily cleanup. They do not contain stream keys, access tokens, passwords or recordings of your screen. We cannot see your activity on Google’s consent pages.
How people find Beamd: Public links can carry a broad source, such as Google or Instagram, and the first public page seen in that browsing journey. If you sign up, we keep that information with your account and compare it with recorded broadcast starts and confirmed payments. We also keep your optional answer to how you heard about Beamd separately. This does not use tracking cookies, visitor IDs or browser fingerprinting. We do not store search terms, full referring URLs or free-text campaign parameters for this reporting. Visits across devices or separate browsing journeys are not linked. Account-linked source data is deleted when your account is deleted.
Cookies: We use functional cookies for sign-in and access. If you follow a referral link, a referral-code cookie lets us credit that referral. Acquisition reporting described above does not add cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.
We share data only with the following sub-processors:
The assistant inside the app tells you, before you ask anything, what it can see. You choose whether to use it; nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you open it and ask a question.
When the assistant cannot answer a question, we keep that question, the page it was asked from, and the answer it gave, for up to 180 days, so the assistant can be taught the answer. Questions it did answer are not kept by us.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
Beamd uses YouTube API Services. Connecting a YouTube account is optional; you can instead enter a stream key yourself and never grant us any access to your Google account.
If you do connect an account, you grant the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube, and we use it only to:
We never read or modify your videos, playlists, comments or subscriber data, we never post to your channel, and we never use your Google data for advertising or share it with anyone. We only ever act on the account of the signed-in user.
We store the authorisation token Google issues, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. It is never displayed back to you and never leaves our servers. Removing the connection in Beamd deletes that token immediately, and deleting your account deletes it along with the rest of your data.
You can revoke Beamd's access at any time, independently of us, at Google's security settings page. Your use of YouTube through Beamd is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g. billing records, which we keep for 7 years as required by law).

To improve setup, we record account-linked setup steps and outcomes, such as a connection error or a requested stream start, for up to 90 days. These events do not contain stream keys, access tokens or the text entered in forms. Basic first and latest setup milestones remain while your account exists, even if you remove a video or stream.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@beamd.live. We will respond within 30 days.
The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the following rights over your personal data. All of them are free to use, and you exercise any of them by emailing hello@beamd.live.
We must have a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are:
Beamd's servers are in Finland, in the European Union, operated by Hetzner Online GmbH. Your account data and your stream records are held there.
Some of the companies we rely on are in the United States. Payments are handled by Stripe, file storage by Cloudflare R2, and email by Resend. Where personal data reaches them it is transferred under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at hello@beamd.live so we have a chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In the EU that is the authority in the country where you live, work, or where you believe the problem occurred. In the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
Vaulted Media Group LLC is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to.
We use HTTPS for all data in transit and encrypt sensitive fields at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions. If we ever discover a breach that affects your data, we will notify you promptly.
Beamd is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so by mistake, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
