Where to find your Instagram Live stream key

Finding the key

  1. Instagram needs a Professional account for RTMP, and the URL and key are issued per broadcast from Live Producer. Instagram also ends every live on its own clock, at 4 hours at the very most and often much sooner, so it cannot carry a 24/7 stream: plan a run rather than leaving one going.
Server URL

Instagram Live issues this together with your key when you create a live event. There is no single address that works for everyone.

Worth knowing

This platform does not publish one fixed address for everyone. It gives you a server URL and a key when you create a live event, and they can change between events. Copy both at the same time, and if a stream stops connecting later, check whether a new event has issued new details.
